Date: November 4, 2000 Subject: Found out how Frank got arrested at an AA meeting Frank called last night. He had just eaten the worm out of the tequila bottle so he was in good form. He's living in a camper at a camp grounds in Maine now because of the outstanding warrants for him in New Hampshire. He use to have a mattress in the camper (one that fits on the back of a pick-up truck, camper that is, not mattress) but he "traded the mattress for a baggie of weed". (Eric wanted to know if this was a good deal or not. I said it depends on the condition of the mattress and the size of the baggie.) So, how he got arrested at an AA meeting. Seems like the people who owned the building that the AA meetings were held in also owned a bar and Frank took offense at this. He suggested to others at the AA meeting that they move their meetings down the street to another building that he knew about where the owners didn't also own a bar. For some reason, they didn't feel the same need to move that meetings that he felt. Frank decided to protest paying rent to people who owned both the building where the meetings were held & a bar. So, when they passed the hat around the AA meeting, he threatened to pocket all the money. Now, this is were he starts to get a fuzzy. I couldn't quite figure out who exactly called the police, the people running the AA meeting, or the people who owned the building that the meeting was held in. Frank says it was the owners, but, let's just say, he's a bit fucked up, so who knows. Anyway, the cops came, he refused to leave, he was handcuffed and removed from the meeting - and the building. Couldn't get out of him the charges or any more info, but I think we all know enough now to figure out how the story ended. On another Frank note, he hasn't seen his "girlfriend" in 3 months cause she's been hospitalized, so he doesn't think they're still going out. But he did meet a 20 year old who he was interested in (not sure if he met her at a bar or in a hospital). Anyway, he did say that she had problems like his and that her father was in the Hell's Angels (now, a wiser man might think twice about the last fact, but not my dear ex-husband). But, he was sorry to report, the relationship didn't work out as she really had no interest in him. (though, he did briefly mention how he wanted to kidnap her - maybe a true crime story in the making). Anyway, when I said, gee maybe it didn't work out because she's the same age as your kids, he replied, "No, she's a year older than Kris." He did say that he wanted to come beck to Connecticut and live in the VA hospital in West Haven, so he could see his kids. Let's all hope he stays right where he is, or moves further north, of maybe gets to spend some time getting to know the penal institutions in New Hampshire. Think that the New Hampshire police would serve the warrant and pick him up in Maine if I offered to pay for their transportation??? ------
