I-95 Northbound (from New York) After you pass Exit 43, you might want to swing into your far right lane and stay there. I-95 North to exit 50, Woodward Avenue Stay in the middle lane to the stop sign. Proceed through the stop sign, and the lane you are in will now be the right lane. This lane will end at the traffic light, and you will need to make a right at the second light, onto Townsend Avenue, at the Shell station. Proceed through the traffic light (about 1.1 miles), continuing to follow Townsend about another 7/10 of a mile until you come to a stop sign. You will be able to see Long Island Sound on your right. LEFT at that stop sign onto Parker Place LEFT at 1st street onto Mansion Street (a short street, left only, comes up quickly after turn) LEFT at end of Mansion (only about 1/2 block) onto Florence LEFT into 1st driveway after you make the turn 37 Florence Avenue is the white house to the RIGHT of the driveway I-95 Southbound (from New London) I-95 South to exit 51 (exit for Fort Nathen Hale, Lighthouse Point, and Frontage Road) GO STRAIGHT through the light at the bottom of the short ramp SWING RIGHT into CENTER lane, which eventually becomes the LEFT lane STAY in this lane for about 1/2 mile and swing into the left turn lane LEFT at this light, go over the highway overpass, and straight through the next light. Note Shell station on your left.   You are now on Townsend Avenue. FOLLOW directions above, starting at item 3 I-91 South (from Hartford) Comfortably before New Haven, get in the far left lane, which takes you to I-95 North You will merge right onto the Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge (Q-Bridge) Quickly get into the far right lane; your exit (50) comes up rapidly Follow directions from item 1 above Traffic gets very heavy at the I-91/I-95 intersection sometimes. Please don't do anything unsafe. If you miss Exit 50, recovery is easy Get off at exit 51 Swing into the center lane; don't get on the highway After the highway entrance, swing left, under the highway. You've made a U-turn At the first light, follow the directions from I-95 South. You're already in the center lane If you miss I-95 North, you're still all right! You'll be on I-95 South. Get in the RIGHT lane. Get off at the first exit, Long Wharf and Ikea Make a RIGHT at the light at the end of the ramp Make a RIGHT at the FIRST LIGHT and go under the highway Make a RIGHT at the T-intersection Swing RIGHT onto the highway and stay in the RIGHT lane You're now on I-95 North and in the (um) right lane to take Exit 50 after you go over the bridge From New Haven Take Grand Avenue east, and cross the Grand Avenue Bridge. Make a RIGHT at the light at the end of the bridge on to QUINNIPIAC AVENUE; don't go up the hill. Follow that road as far as you can, until it becomes a one-way street and forces you to SWING RIGHT. Do so. Make a LEFT at the FIRST LIGHT on to FARREN AVENUE. (Machu Pichu restaurant on right) MERGE RIGHT into FAIRMONT AVENUE. (Fairmont will quickly become Townsend Avenue.) Stay on Townsend Avenue, going over the highway, and note the Shell station on your left. Keep going straight, following the directions from item 3 above.
